Driver Alcohol Education Program
The Driver Alcohol Education (DAE) Program is a 40-hour program for first time DUI offenders and is licensed by the Department of Public Health. It is available in both English and Spanish. The program consists of the following requirements:
• Completion of a 1 1/2 hour intake assessment.
• Attendance at 32 hours of education group sessions (16 weekly meetings, each 2 hours in length).
• Attendance at two self-help meetings to be completed by the 10th group meeting.
• Attendance at one victim's forum--a presentation by survivors and family members of victims of drunk driving accidents. This forum is scheduled by the program
Fees for the program are as follows:
The total cost of the program is $567.22. Clients may pay the fee according to an agreed upon schedule which at a minimum consists of:
• $167.22 for the initial intake assessment
• $25 per weekly group session until the balance is paid
• There is a $40 charge for any intake or group session not cancelled at least 24 hours in advance.
To enroll in the program, clients are required to come to the agency located at 181 Union Street, second floor anytime Monday through Friday between 9:00 a.m and 6:00 p.m. A payment of $167.22 will be made prior to appointment. In some instances, program fees may be waived by the court in which case clients would need to bring a copy of their waiver with them at the time of enrollment.

Second Offender Aftercare Service
The Second Offender Aftercare Service provided by Project COPE, Inc. is certified by the Department of Public Health. Enrollment in this program can occur either before or after attending the 14 day DUIL program and involvement will last for the duration of each client's probation. The Second Offender Aftercare Service is available in both English and Spanish. The requirements of the program are as follows:
• Completion of initial 1 hour intake assessment.
• Treatment Stage: 26 weekly group sessions, each 90 minutes in length.
• Monthly Stage: Attendance at sessions once per month until the end of the term of probation.
• Compliance with all required breathalyzer tests (administered at least every 60 days) and random urine screens.
• Attendance at 2 self help meetings per week.
Fees for the program are as follows:
• $100.00 for the initial intake assessment.
• $40.00 per weekly group or individual session.
• There is a $40.00 charge for any intake appointment, group or individual session not cancelled in at least 24 hours in advance.
To enroll in the program, clients are required to come to the agency located at 181 Union Street anytime Monday through Thursday 9:00 a.m.- 7:00 pm and Friday 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. An initial deposit of $1000.00 is to be paid at that time and an intake scheduled. The referring court will be sent a written notification once the intake has been completed and will receive monthly status reports for the duration of program involvement.

Programa Eductivo Para Conductores Embriagados
El programa educativo para conductores bajo la influencia del alcohol, es un programa de 16 semanas por la primera ofensa cuando se conduce bajo las influencias del mismo.
El programa educativo para conductores bajo la influencia del alcohol, es un programa de 16 semanas por la primera ofensa cuando se conduce bajo las influencias del mismo. Project COPE Inc., es una agencia autorizada por el Departamento de Salud Pública.
El programa exige estos requisitos:
• La primera evaluación por 90 minutos.
• La asistencia de 16 sesiones de 2 horas cada una, una vez por semana.
• Asistir a 2 reuniones de alcohólicos anónimos antes de la sesión # 10.
• Asistir a una presentación de sobrevivientes, y familiares de victimas causadas por conductores bajo la influencia del alcohol. Esta presentación será citada por el programa.
• Asistir a un grupo de 3 horas de Daños del Cerebro y pagar $30.00 adicionales.
El costo del programa es el siguiente:
• El costo total es de $567.22, los clientes podrán hacer un acuerdo de pago que seria de la siguiente manera:
• Un depósito de $162.22, por la primera evaluación. Se deberán pagar los primeros $100.00 antes de hacer la primera cita y $62.22 tendrán que ser pagados el día de la evaluación de otra manera se le sumara a su balance semanal.
• Se pagara $25.00 en cada sesión (por semana.)
• Si la corte declara que el individuo es indigente, entonces tendrá que traer pruebas el día en que se inscriba.
• Se le aplicara una multa de $40.00 si se cancela la cita en un periodo antes de 24 horas.
