Employee Assistance Programs
WHAT IS THE EAP?
Many organizations recognize that employees are their greatest asset and the key to their success. They are committed to maintaining a work environment that encourages employees to maximize their career potential. To that end, companies have contracted with Occupational Consultation Services of Project COPE, Inc. to develop and manage an Employee Assistance Program. This service is designed to assist company personnel and their families in finding solutions to personal or work-related problems.
Low productivity or poor job performance in the workplace occur when issues in a person’s life become too difficult to “leave at the door” when they come to work. Some of the more common problems include marital or family concerns, legal or financial matters, emotional stress, recurrent physical illness and alcohol or other drug dependence.
